Forty years at a keyboard.

I wrote my first program as a kid on an Atari 65XE, and I haven't stopped since. I've built websites since the early days of the web and worked in WordPress since 2007: custom themes, custom plugins, WooCommerce stores. I also build web apps in Laravel, from patient portals to CRMs.

For fifteen years I ran SocialApparatus, building community sites and open-source themes and plugins for the Elgg platform. Then I ran IT and marketing for an eight-brand outdoor-living company, where I rebuilt their flagship site, built a drag-and-draw fence planner, and photographed the work for the websites. Before the web, I was a quality assurance manager. That's where I learned to check the work before anyone else sees it.

Today I build for small businesses: a working version first, a fixed price in writing, and a site that belongs to you.
